This is a typical destination for many tourists and wildlife lovers. In this
place you can find rivers, mountains, thermal springs, glaciers and Andean
fauna. Located in the heart of the Andes Mountain Range, this valley has a
unique fauna, such as the Diademed Sandpiper-Plover, the White-Sided Hillstar,
the Cordillerean Canastero, the Puma and the Culpeo Fox.
We will leave Santiago at 8:00 am. On the way we will pass by San José de Maipo, a typical Chilean village. If the road is open, we will go to the beautiful El Yeso dam. If the road is closed, we will go to Baño Colina, an excellent place for birdwatching. We will have lunch in this place. On the way back we will go up to Lagunillas, an old ski center where you can watch lot of birds such as the Chilean Flicker, the Austral Pigmy Owl, the Black-Chested Buzzard Eagle and the Chilean Tinnamou. We will be arriving to Santiago at 7:00 pm.
