This is one of the most outstanding phenomenon on earth: the desert of Atacama covered with flowers. This phenomenon happens sporadically, depending mainly on the rainfalls that are very irregular in this region. This major change brings a lot of life forms in the desert, such as flowers, birds or reptiles. These life forms appear on thousands of hectares of a land that is said to be the most arid in the world.

ABTAO offers you on that occasion an unforgettable trip, in which you will discover this amazing show. Not only will you discover the flora of the place, but you will also enjoy its fauna, thanks to the explanations of a guide specialized in fauna.

Day 1: Journey from Santiago to Huasco, with a pit stop in Los Vilos and in several places, in order to start appreciating the blooming desert. We will have lunch in Coquimbo and lodge in Huasco.

Day 2: Breakfast in Huasco and departure for the Llanos de Challe National Park. We will stop in several places on our way to the park. We will arrive in the park at noon and have lunch there. In the afternoon, we will have a trekking in the park. We will go back to Huasco for dinner.

Day 3: Visit of the park, in order to observe the famous "Garra de León". You will also have the opportunity of watching several groups of guanacos. We will have lunch there. We will be back to Huasco at night and have dinner there.

Day 4 : Free day in the park, so as you could enjoy its white-sandy beach.

Day 5 : Return to Santiago in the morning, having a stop in La Serena. We will arrive in the afternoon in Santiago.
