The Colbún Lake
DAY 1:
We will leave Santiago and go to one of the most beautiful part of the Central
Andes... where the deep Maule River gives birth to the Colbun Lake. After lunch
and after a chat on how will take place this expedition, our guide will teach
us the basic rules of paddling. We will then start our sailing to the Bahía
Romanos Island. This name was given because of the interesting rock formations
that can be seen there. We will set up the camp and while some of you will have
a swim in the lake, others will visit this small island, or enjoy the quietness
and the silence to read or to rest before our expedition. At night, we'll have
dinner and around a firecamp we will talk about the organization of the next
day... or have an unforgettable night sailing!
