El Peral National Reserve

This trip is specially designed in order to watch shore and estuary birds. We will visit a RAMSAR site for seabirds, the "el Yali" Reserve, where it is easy to see Coscoroba Swans. The Maipo river is our second stop, where hundreds of sea birds rest and eat. After that, you will discover the beautiful lake, called "El Peral". In this place there are ducks, Black necked Swans, Plumbeaus Rails, coots, Many-coloured Rush Tyrants and many other birds.

Program:

PWe will leave Santiago at 8:00 am. On the way we will stop close to a small lake, to watch the first birds of the day. We will continue to the El Yali Reserve and arrive there at 10:30. After a soft trekking we will go to the Maipo river. We will have lunch in San Antonio in a tipycal seafood restaurant. After lunch we will visit the El Peral National Reserve. We will be arriving to Santiago at 6:00 pm.
